FOR YOUTH:
Come join us for more fun than you ever thought possible on church grounds. Youth meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 7:30pm.
Our program is built for and also by the Youth. We use the following “Building Blocks”: Word Hop, BLA, Youth Booth, Game Night. We sprinkle Walk the Talk and Lift Off to make it completely cool.
Explanation: Word Hop = Bible Study BLA = Bible Learning Activity Youth Booth = Program lead by youth Walk the Talk = Service Projects Lift Off = Road Trips and Mission Trips
This is a youth group that is totally awesome and invested in their church. We lead several services during the year and enjoy diverse experiences. Seriously; COME CHECK US OUT!
And in case your schedule is too full during the week, why don’t you join us for Sunday School at 9:45am on Sunday. It is a totally “out of the box” experience. Forget what you know about Sunday School… just come join us and be prepared… FOR ANYTHING. And feel free to sit with the group during the 11:00 Worship Service after Sunday School. Our Worship Team will rock your world and Pastor Susan has amazing messages EVERY WEEK.
Who may attend? Anyone 6th through 12th Grade.
What do we do? In our Youth Room everyone is welcome, we do not judge and we have FUN!! We also remind one another that Jesus is Lord and King and that our lives is SO MUCH EASIER if we use Him to give us direction. Those of you that thought we are an all-guy group… Think again. The ladies are attending now and they kick butt in contests and games.

Monthly Parent Bulletins are e-mailed and sent home. Please ensure Charmaigne has your current e-mail address to ensure you receive all the information you need to make your child’s expereince a positive and inclusive one.
We want to ensure parents whose children attend have peace of mind over the safety of our Youth and their guests. To achieve this we ask that youth and their parents sign Behavior Contracts and understand that those requirements will be inforced if needed.
We have wonderful adults who choose to spend their time with youth. We believe God wants us to worship Him in a style that makes young people feel comfortable. In nurturing this relationship we need to be in partnership with you. Our goal is to turn young souls into disciples for Jesus. Youth attending this group have said: “for the first time I feel as though I belong”, “…you guys have made me feel so welcome, you asked no questions…”, “I can’t wait for Wednesdays and Sundays!” We have a facebook page too, so if your child(ren) is not ready for Facebook yet, why don’t you join our group and that way we have another way of sending reminders and keeping you informed about what we are doing.
At Vanderburg we allow teenagers to be just that – teenagers. But with love and a supportive atmosphere we serve our Lord, Jesus Christ.
